Editing & Design Services

Bent Paddle Press offers a wide range of editing and design services from simple proofreading to substantive editing. Your project might be poetry or prose, a book manuscript, a newsletter or your website’s content. Besides content editing for words, we also do design work. Maybe you need a logo created, a promotional bookmark designed, your newsletter or book laid out; whatever your project is, contact us and we’ll work closely with you to get it done.

This is Steve with a baby bunny. Yes, this is a shameless ploy (Steve, tenderly holding a baby bunny, he would be a good person to do your editing or design dontcha think?). The bunny was released unharmed back into the yard after the photo was taken.

Steve Tomasko has a background in both science and journalism. He’s written for EarthWatch Radio, was a reporter for the Ashland Daily Press, written articles for Wisconsin Trails and Lake Superior Magazine and is currently an outreach specialist at UW-Madison. He is adept with not only poetry and fiction but also scientific and technical work.

Steve has edited the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets’ Calendar with his wife Jeanie (2015). Steve did the design and layout for that calendar along with the 2017, 2020, 2021 and forthcoming 2022 WFOP Calendars. He has helped edit semi-technical works (Condos in the Woods) and put together, designed and edited the books for Bent Paddle Press.

Since each project is unique, it’s hard to talk about pricing for these services. Let’s just say we’re easy to work with and reasonable. Send us a note in the form below and we can talk about your project.
